Our Internationalization Policy
International Association for Women in Sustainable Development (USKD) will continue its international relations with an approach that eliminates borders in the world, aims for accessibility, universal inclusiveness and Sustainable Development Goals, and observes ethical values. For this purpose, it has created its Strategic Plan on the following issues.
1. International Civil Society Collaborations: USKD has created action plans to produce joint projects and develop collaborations by communicating and networking with civil society organizations abroad, sharing experiences. It will continue its work in line with the 17 articles of the Sustainable Development Goals, with priority given to Gender Equality, by ensuring that these activities are disseminated among countries using information and communication technologies.
2. Expanding USKD’s Area of Influence in the International Arena: Globalization and the concepts of civil society organizations are two values and phenomena that develop and rise together. By valuing international mobility, every activity we will carry out and every step we will take in the areas of networking, experience sharing, and dialogue between countries will provide USKD with the opportunity to gain international recognition, effective functionality, good governance, and a new and strong momentum.
We aim to create, develop and sustain an effective system that aims to increase USKD's international competitive power and make it a global role model. In this context, memberships to International Platforms, federations and organizations will be our primary goals. In addition, the establishment of new platforms in the international arena under the leadership of USKD is also within the scope of our strategic plan.
3. Intercultural Interaction and Competencies: USKD will organize programs and work to create an environment that offers many opportunities to integrate with international understanding and to provide intercultural interaction. Our priority will be to establish the necessary mechanisms for sharing the life and cultural values of the countries of the Civil Society Organizations abroad, as well as to promote our own culture and values, and to organize awareness activities in this area.
4. Sustainability: While our commissions continue their work on the sustainable improvement of our planet both at the national and international levels, giving priority to the Sustainable Development Goals declared by the United Nations is among the sanctions of our charter. In addition, our Project Coordination, established to contribute to the management, monitoring and evaluation of projects financed by the European Union, will continue its work in line with the Global Goals.
Acting with the fact that civil society organizations are one of the policy-making actors of our age, where national cultures, economies and borders are beginning to dissolve, USKD is working to solve social, political and ecological problems that transcend national borders.
It will continue to strengthen its capacity by increasing its recognition internationally in order to become one of the main channels of globalization.
