Our Sustainability Policy

International Association for Women in Sustainable Development (USKD) is a business women's association that has prepared its charter with a vision of a sustainable future in line with the UN development goals. USKD was established to manage all processes on the axis of creating value for a better world by preparing its Strategic Plan with the awareness of acting together with its members within the scope of the Global Goals and continues its work on this axis both nationally and internationally.

USKD's Sustainability Policy is focuses on enhancingits surrounding enviroment. Respecting the right of all living beings to live well, thinking about our future 'without leaving anyone behind', USKD will continue its work in line with the following principles for all living beings.

 

1- Creating and spreading sustainable development awareness: Raising awareness of economic, social and ecological problems, and spreading the culture of sustainability so that sustainable development becomes a priority for all individuals and institutions. Announcing sustainable development goals, policies and success stories through regular communication channels and awareness campaigns. Spreading the culture of cooperation at local, national and international levels to achieve global goals, Developing local and global cooperation in the field of sustainable development. Organizing joint projects and events with civil society organizations, the business world and other universities to develop global citizenship and environmental awareness.

 

 

2- Carrying out studies in the fields of education: Organizing regular training programs and events, especially in workplaces, schools at all levels and for housewives, to explain the concept of sustainable development and raise awareness in these areas by taking the organizations and potential institutions we cooperate with along with us. Organizing interviews on the subject through the YouTube channel.

 

 

3- Organizing Effective Communication and Campaigns: To highlight individuals and institutions that have successfully implemented work in the society regarding the UN development goals, to make businesses that are sensitive to the climate crisis and fulfill their environmental and social responsibilities more visible as role models, and to develop effective communication strategies and campaigns to share their success stories. To organize a competition with high social impact every year under the title of 'Sustainable Business Awards' for the 17 goals of the SDGs in order to encourage change and accelerate the transition to sustainable business models.

 

 

 

 

 

4- Ensuring the Dissemination of Sustainable Business Models by Supporting Innovative Projects and Research: Supporting innovative projects and research on sustainability, encouraging the training of young leaders in the field of R&D and Innovation and the development of their own projects in this field, and ensuring the cooperation of industry, universities and civil society for this purpose.

To carry out the necessary awareness activities to ensure that waste management is carried out correctly in homes and businesses, to implement innovative methods in energy, water and waste management, and to take measures to minimize environmental damage.

To support entrepreneurs to develop green businesses with sustainable technologies and to contribute to the dissemination of these technologies. To contribute to sustainable economic growth by encouraging the production of environmentally friendly products and services.

 

 

5- Measurement and Evaluation: To make evaluations to monitor the level of realization of the said goals, to determine key indicators, to monitor the improvements and to guarantee the sustainability of the solutions put forward.

 

The International Association of Women in Sustainable Development (USKD) aims to draw attention to common problem areas faced by the whole world at national and international levels with its Sustainability Policy and to support the dissemination of inclusive common goals in line with the vision of a sustainable future, to increase sustainable development awareness with the participation of all segments of society, to strengthen the understanding of environmental responsibility and to encourage a responsible approach towards future generations.
