USKD – SEIM
(Social Impact Innovation Center)
The Social Impact and Innovation Center (SEÄ°M) was established as a social impact-focused research and application center of the International Association of Women in Sustainable Development (USKD) to promote social innovation through research, education and collaboration, to measure and evaluate the impact of USKD's activities on society and the environment, as well as to work on capacity building, access to social financing and to ensure that the association adopts the practice of measuring and managing social impact, and to be a role model for civil society organizations in this regard.
Social Impact Innovation Center (SEIM) is a center that conducts studies to understand to what extent an organization projected by USKD realizes its potential to create social benefit and how effectively it fulfills its mission. SEIM, in line with the 17 Development Goals of the UN; primarily focusing on 4 different topics as Goal 5: Gender Equality, Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, Goal 10: Reducing Inequalities, Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, and managing, measuring and transparently reporting the social and environmental impact created by USKD, which strives to build a good future for humanity with the projects it carries out, will be an important guide for the future.
As USKD, our aim in implementing SEIM is;
Understanding and measuring the profound impacts of project activities on society,
To not only evaluate the success level of projects, but also to reveal the factors that contribute to social change processes,
In this process; to clarify the social benefit and impact creation capacity of USKD activities,
At the same time, to ensure that USKD becomes a role model as one of the social impact actors in the national and international arena by providing guiding information for the planning of future projects,
As SEÄ°M, our future vision is to create a learning, sharing and application network not only for USKD but also for social entrepreneurs, funding institutions, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and the private sector to undertake studies that can create more positive social impact and to measure social impact and use the measurement results.
